Bayern München vs Schalke 04 Match Preview
Schalke put in a horrible performance in the Champions League in midweek. Only Manuel Neuer could come out with his head held high. This will be his first trip to the Allianz Arena after announcing that he won’t renew his contract with Schalke. Bayern will have Arjen Robben back this week after his suspensions. He feels he owes a good performance to the club and the fans for earning an unnecessary suspension against Nuremberg.
Thomas Kraft and Gomez have minor injuries to deal with but will be fit for Saturday. Bayern, having failed to beat Schalke twice this season, will hope that they finally get the job done at a third attempt. If Bayern doesn’t win on Saturday and Hanover does, Bayern can forget about competing in the Champions League next season.
